In the center of the community ,there is the main church of the village ,which is dedicated to Virgin Mary Hryseleousas .It is built in Royal style and has the capacity to have 2000 people .From findings that prove this it seems that it was built around 1756.the Icons of the Saints which are in the beautiful and special iconostasis , the ‘δωδεκάορτο’ and an excellent wall painting of Saint Georgio ,a construction of the famous hagiographer Filareto ,prove their originality but the date of their presence there. The church must have been re –built. Hundred years later, around 1886 there was an expansion .This is shown from the wall painting of Saint Georgio .on the northern wall of the church, which is preserved until today. a big and clear-sighted picture of Saint Georgio ,seems to be a special presence in the church’s space. The wooden and curved iconostasis of the church seems to have a careful curve from pictures of vineyards and birds, smeary in gold paint. It has two gates; the central .that means the beautiful gate and the north one. The loft is big and comfortable so the religious people can enjoy the Holy service during their congregation.

Externally, it is made of stone of the area, having in the side a high jaunty belfry, which invites the people every Sunday, and every celebration.It is celebrated with festivities on the 8th September when it is Virgin Mary’s birthday.
